Research in ICT related sciences (RESICT)
• Dr. Ann Nowe visited Cuba to attend to the JSC and participate in activities related to Phase 2 (3-14/5/18).
• Dr. Rafael Bello, visited Belgium in April 2-13, 2018. He attended to JSC, developed some actions in preparing Phase 2, and developed research activities at the VUB and University of Hasselt.
- Ann Nowe visited Cuba in October 23-27 2017. She attended to the Convention of UCLV where gave a lecture and participated in a PhD Seminar; and developed activities related with the project in preparation of the international evaluation of the Project.
- Rafael Bello, visited Belgium in May 2-11, 2017. He attended to Joint Steering Committee, and developed research activities in CoMo Lab. He visited the University of Hasselt also.
- Coordinator developed some visits to Universidad de Camaguey, UCI and Universidad de Holguin. He gave lectures and contacted with research groups in these universities.
• Dr. Ann Nowe visited Cuba in November 5-12 2016. She developed a course in the PhD school and worked in some research activities.
• Dr. Rafael Bello, visited Belgium in April 10-20, 2016. He attended to Joint Steering Committee, and developed research activities in CoMo Lab. He visited the University of Hasselt also.
• Coordinator developed some visits to University of Camaguey and UCI. In UC, he attended to a Doctoral Seminar.

- Rafael Bello, visited Belgium from September 30 till October 10, 2015. He attended to Joint Steering Committee, and developed research activities in CoMo Lab.
- Coordinator developed some visits to University of Camaguey and UCI (No budget used). Also, he visited University of Oriente, only the transportation by bus was supported by the project.
- Ann Nowe visited Cuba in September 14-19 2014 to participate in the process of Joint Ph selection.
- Rafael Bello, joint Dr Hector Cruz and Dr. George Eisentrah, visited Spain in February 1-7 2015 to visit University of Granada and University of Malaga. The purpose was to learn about the state of development of ICT technologies in those universities. These visits were very useful and interesting, especially taking into account the experiences in the research and innovation in ICT, and the development of e-learning. As result of the visit, one training for two Cuban faculties in e-learning technologies was agreed with the authorities of University of Malaga.
- Rafael Bello visited Belgium in February 7-14 2015. He attended to Joint Steering Commite, and to a PhD Seminar. Moreover, other activities related with the research and the project were performed.

Open ICT and management systems (ICTSYS)
A visit of some project’s members to UCI and URP was made. The visit allows the interchange of experiences and a very quick and efficient way to discuss about future task and working lines. The main discussed topic and collaboration areas were: wireless networks, configuration management, HPC and user management systems.
A visit from UO’s staff to the UCLV (based on previous experiences) took place.
Five trainees went to Gent universityin Belgium for training during February. The most important topics were testing different situations with automatic configuration management using Puppet and Ansible. Also, was possible to participate in FOSDEM (Brussels)and ConfManagCamp(Gent).
Executed according to the program. During the visit, the Flemish project leader gives some lessons in a training and participate actively in the DevOpsDays Cuba 2017.
A visit of some project’s members to UC was made. The visit allow the interchange of experiences. Two members of the IUC of Oriente University made a visit to UCLV in order to exchange experiences about proxy server configurations. The budget was not used because the university paid for that.
Six trainees traveled to university of Gent in Belgium for training. The most important topics were testing environments with Vagrant and automatic configuration management with Puppet.
The created reports will allow the identification of what need more attention and resources in the Network. Finals documents were shared by mail and published in the project Wiki. http://redtic.uclv.cu/dokuwiki/
The experience in Belgium was very useful for all the trainees thanks to the condition, lessons and practices create by the Belgium project leader.
