In this case the project paid the registration fee, and UCI and Project 3 supported the participation of one author (Hector Gonzales from UCI) to the conference.
The project paid the registration fee for the participation of Richar Sosa in the Fuzzy Cognitive Maps Workshop hold at University of Hasselt Nov 29-30, 2018.
Also, the following paper was presented but without cost for the project:

The registration fee was paid by the Flemish co-author.

The scientific conference organized by Universidad de Holguin and UCLV were supported partially by the project; in the case of UHO, Dr. Ann Nowe, Dr. Monique Snocke and Dr. Rafael Bello gave key lectures, in the case of UCLV, Dr Ann Nowe and Dr Kris Steenhaut gave key lectures.
A call was published to support at least a participation in scientific conference to be held between June 1 till December 31 2017. 8 applications were received from UCLV, UHolguin and UCamaguey. The criteria of selection include: the conferences should have an international scope, the proceedings must be published by international publishers (such as IEEE, ACM, Springer, etc.) and the papers referenced in international data bases; moreover, the number of universities involved in the paper, the category of the main author (Phd students are preferred), and the requested budget and possibility co-funding.

In this case, only the registration fee was paid, because one co-author (Rafael Bello) was invited as key lecturer. The first paper was selected as Best paper award of the conference.

In this case, only the registration fee was paid.

A paper was presented in the international conference WEA2015 held in Bogota, Colombia, in October 2015. The authors of this paper are from University of Camaguey and UCLV; MSc. Mabel Frias, a faculty of University of Camaguey, presented the paper. This paper shows results of the collaboration between Cuban research groups. The presentation of the paper at the conference was supported fully by the VLIR project. The paper was published by IEEE Press.

A paper presented by Humberto Rodriguez in the DisCoTec 10th International Federated Conference on Distributed Computing Techniques (Grenoble, France June 2-5, 2015).
A paper presented by Marlen Perez in the IUPESM World Congress on Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering (WC2015) which will be held in Toronto/Canada from the next June 7-12, 2015.
These papers allow to Cuban young researchers to improve their preparation to divulgate their scientific results, to be involved in a high scientific environment during some days to know new results and trends; and to establish relations with the scientific community; this elevation of their preparation allow them to increase the role in solving Cuban problems using the ICT technologies.
